CISG Ltd. is proud to have recently lead the commissioning of the Unit 9 Generator at the Churchill Falls Generator Station in Labrador, Canada. Churchill Falls boasts an impressive 11 Francis turbines which combine for an installed capacity of 5,428 MW which makes it one of the largest hydroelectric power stations in the world. Scope of work included overseeing the final stages of construction, verification of all auxiliary equipment (pre-commissioning), performing the dry-commissioning of the integral systems, and execution of the unit startup and wet-commissioning testing (Rotor Balancing and Vibration Signature, First Synchronization, Load Rejections, Generator Heat Runs, Air Flow Measurements).
